We now have a Lead Auditor (Recycled Water)

Simon Leverton, EnviroRisk’s Senior Manager in Victoria, recently completed Exemplar Global’s competency-based Water Quality Management System (WQMS) Auditor Certification program for Recycled Water, qualifying as Lead Auditor (Recycled Water).

This program provides international recognition for auditors who conduct audits of recycled water quality management systems, and meets the following key objectives:

  • to achieve the requirements of the International Standard for personnel certification ISO/IEC 17024:2012;
  • to ensure that auditors meet or exceed the qualification guidelines for management system auditors described in AS/NZS ISO 19011:2014 and are assessed as competent to perform water quality management system audits;
  • to assist organizations in selecting competent auditors; and
  • to enhance the professional recognition of qualified auditors.

Simon has been involved as a technical expert, and now recycled water auditor, in a number of recent recycled water audits conducted by EnviroRisk, including:

  • first statutory audit of Yarra Valley Water’s Health and Environmental Management Plan (HEMP) for the Aurora Estate Class A recycled water scheme;
  • first statutory audit of SE Water’s Health and Environmental Management Plan (HEMP) for the LOGIS and Meridian Estates Class A recycled water scheme; and
  • verification audit of Melbourne Water’s Annual Monitoring Report for Class A Recycled Water Production and Supply to the Werribee Irrigation District.

The EnviroRisk Team is very pleased to add certified recycled water auditing to its substantial suite of recognised skills and competencies, and we look forward to working with existing and new clients in this growing and vitally important area of water re-use.
