Founded in Australia in 1995 by Stephen Jenkins, EnviroRisk Management is an environmental consulting firm which assists organisations to improve business sustainability and comply with environmental legislation. We currently have offices in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.
Over the years, we have expanded to assist our clients across Australia, New Zealand and throughout Asia.
We are skilled environmental practitioners with qualifications in the sciences, engineering and management disciplines. Our team includes:
- Certified Environmental Practitioners (CEnvP)
- RABQSA Lead Auditors
- Victorian EPA accredited auditor (Industrial Facilities), appointed under the Environment Protection Act.
Our Senior Manager, Simon Leverton, was also named the 'Environmental Practitioner of the Year' by the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ).
Our people have been expert advisors to public company board committees, senior management teams and site management. Our principals also have expertise across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

We now have a Lead Auditor (Recycled Water)
Simon Leverton, EnviroRisk’s Senior Manager in Victoria, recently completed Exemplar Global’s competency-based Water Quality Management System (WQMS) Auditor Certification program for Recycled Water, qualifying as Lead Auditor (Recycled Water).
This program provides international recognition for auditors who conduct audits of recycled water quality management systems, and meets the following key objectives:
- to achieve the requirements of the International Standard for personnel certification ISO/IEC 17024:2012;
- to ensure that auditors meet or exceed the qualification guidelines for management system auditors described in AS/NZS ISO 19011:2014 and are assessed as competent to perform water quality management system audits;
- to assist organizations in selecting competent auditors; and
- to enhance the professional recognition of qualified auditors.
Simon has been involved as a technical expert, and now recycled water auditor, in a number of recent recycled water audits conducted by EnviroRisk, including:
- first statutory audit of Yarra Valley Water’s Health and Environmental Management Plan (HEMP) for the Aurora Estate Class A recycled water scheme;
- first statutory audit of SE Water’s Health and Environmental Management Plan (HEMP) for the LOGIS and Meridian Estates Class A recycled water scheme; and
- verification audit of Melbourne Water’s Annual Monitoring Report for Class A Recycled Water Production and Supply to the Werribee Irrigation District.
